Reliable Air LLC is a family-owned HVAC contractor based in Phoenix, Arizona, founded in 1996 and now in its third generation. The company holds Arizona ROC licenses ROC 330516 and ROC 264944 and serves the entire Phoenix metropolitan area with residential and light commercial heating and cooling services.
In 1996 the Valley was a very different place. Fewer than three million people lived here, the 101 was still under construction in places, and an air conditioner was something you called about once it was already broken.
What has not changed is the part of this job that matters. An HVAC technician walks into someone’s home, usually on a bad day, and is trusted to tell the truth about an expensive piece of machinery the homeowner cannot evaluate themselves. Everything about how we run this company comes down to not abusing that.
There is a reason so much of this industry has been bought up by private equity in the last decade: HVAC generates predictable revenue and customers rarely get a second opinion. What follows consolidation is usually commission-driven sales targets and technicians who are paid more for replacing a system than for repairing one.

The equipment has changed enormously — R-22 gave way to R-410A and now to A2L refrigerants, single-stage compressors gave way to inverter-driven variable-speed systems, and thermostats became small computers. What carried across all three generations is the diagnostic discipline: measure the system, understand what the numbers mean, and do not guess with someone else’s money.
